I love maps, and this one color-codes my travels. Make your own map here.
- Pink is for states I’ve driven through and maybe seen an attraction.
- Orange is for states I’ve slept in and seen some sights.
- Blue is for states I’ve visited at least twice and seen a fair amount.
- Green is for states I’ve spent a great deal of time in on multiple visits.
Why “100 Routes Across America?”
My goal is to take road trips across America on portions of all the original United States Highways numbered 1 to 101. After traveling a portion of the Lincoln Highway, one of the earliest transcontinental roads, I became enamored with the history of these highways. I hope to travel them, learn their history, and share their stories with my children. Below I keep track of the roads I’ve traveled. For a list of articles I’ve written, click here.
